Rainbow Chickens Agriculture operations are looking for 5x Maintenance Handyman with electrical, mechanical and civil engineering skills to repair and maintain poultry related machinery and equipment.
Required Qualifications:
- Technical Senior Certificate or similar technical qualification (N3 or N2)
- Driver’s license – code 8 or 10 (compulsory)
Required Experience:
- 3 years’ experience in Electrical (70%) and Mechanical environment
- Previous experience in poultry environment – advantage
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Boilermaking
- Welding
- Mechanical fitment
- Single and 3 Phase electrical systems
- PVC, plastic and pipe joining
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical
- Inspection of all Agriculture machinery and equipment
- Maintenance and repair of all Agriculture related machinery and equipment
Electrical Maintenance
- Electrical maintenance and repair on Agriculture machinery, buildings, and equipment as per SANS 0142 regulations
- Electrical maintenance and repair on Residential buildings as per SANS 0142 regulations
Civil
- Inspection, maintenance and repairs of water systems and main water supply
- Repair of plumbing systems in Agriculture and residential buildings
- Maintenance and repair of Agriculture buildings
- Maintenance and repair of Residential buildings
- Inspection, maintaining and repairs to drainage systems Agriculture and residential
General
- Inspection and signing off on tasks allocated to Maintenance Assistants
- Completion of all daily maintenance and breakdown job cards
- Training and Development of Maintenance Assistants under direct control to handyman level
- Discipline of maintenance assistants under direct control
- Participation in planning and execution of any mechanical, electrical and civil construction, maintenance and repairs planned at the agriculture and residential areas
- Execution of all reasonable instructions issued by authorized personnel /management
- Daily inspection of all agriculture related machinery, equipment and constructions for prevention of breakdowns
