Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to participate in the following Technical Apprentice Programmes: Electrical/Mechanical Fitter/ Millwright/ Automotive Motor Mechanic/Tool Making/Welding/Transportation Electrician and Mechatronics Technician.
About the Programme:
This program’s goal is to offer full-time access to technical and trade courses. The Technical Learning Academy will manage this program to improve technical skills within the company and the community. The Union backs this program.
The Applicant:
Must meet the following entry requirements:
Have Matric with a pass in core Mathematics and Physical Science. Maths Literacy will not be considered.
N3 (4 subjects including core Mathematics and Physical Science) or higher
Candidates:
- You will have an interview with a group of people who will then decide if you are suitable.
- You need to pick a main training area and a backup training area.
- You must be ready and able to study part-time.
- You are not allowed to work extra hours during the Technical Program unless you get permission.
- Make sure your application has these items:
- A certified copy of your National ID that is no older than 3 months.
- A certified copy of your highest school or college degree that is no older than 3 months.
- A complete explanation of why you want to join the program, including your desired study/training area (like Electrical or Fitting).
- (You need to upload these documents as attachments to Success Factors).
