PEP – Human Resource TVET Programme

At PEP we call ourselves Dynamos – we have FUN, work hard, and take ownership of everything we do. We work in teams to create world-class solutions. Being a Dynamo of PEP means you are dynamic, helpful and believe in making our customers look and feel good.

The PEP Human Resource TVET Programme is a valuable opportunity designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world workplace experience for aspiring HR professionals. As one of South Africa’s leading retail brands, PEP is committed to developing young talent by providing structured workplace exposure that empowers graduates to grow both professionally and personally. This programme is specifically tailored for individuals who have completed their N6 Certificate in Human Resource Management and are eager to gain the practical experience required to obtain their National Diploma.

At PEP, employees are known as “Dynamos” — individuals who bring energy, teamwork, and dedication into everything they do. This culture creates a dynamic and supportive environment where learners are encouraged to take ownership of their development while contributing meaningfully to the organization. The HR TVET Programme reflects this philosophy by combining hands-on training with mentorship, ensuring that participants not only understand HR theory but also learn how to apply it effectively in a fast-paced retail setting.

Throughout the 18-month programme, participants are exposed to various aspects of human resource management, including recruitment, employee relations, training and development, and administrative functions. This well-rounded exposure equips learners with practical skills that are highly valued in the job market. In addition, working within a reputable company like PEP enhances a candidate’s professional profile, opening doors to future employment opportunities within the retail sector and beyond.

The programme is more than just work experience — it is a stepping stone for young professionals who are serious about building a career in human resources. It allows participants to develop essential workplace competencies such as communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and adaptability. These skills are critical in today’s competitive job environment and provide a strong foundation for long-term career success.

Ultimately, the PEP Human Resource TVET Programme represents a commitment to youth development and skills empowerment in South Africa. It offers a practical pathway for N6 graduates to transition from classroom learning to meaningful employment, while contributing to the growth of a company that values its people. For driven and passionate individuals, this programme is an excellent opportunity to kickstart a rewarding career in human resource management.
